Sonic The Hedgehog (1991)
Going up against Mario is not easy. But Sonic The Hedgehog, thefirst Sonic game, with its wonderful blues and greens, blazing speed, and terrific platforming did a really good job of challenging Mario. Street Fighter II (1991)
